JSC Rating Agency of the Regional Financial Center of Almaty is the first national agency of Kazakhstan, which provides independent assessment of Kazakhstan companies. The Rating agency assigns issuer credit ratings, issue credit ratings, corporate governance ratings and credit ratings of financial institutions.
RA RFCA was founded on November 19, 2007 in the framework of the Regional Financial Center of Almaty Development Program until 2010.
The main objective of RA RFCA is to assist in development of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as its stock market ensuring a transparency and providing a solid objective data on issuers.
One of the priority activities of RA RFCA is the development of the national rating system of the local companies, financial institutions, enterprises with state participation.
In order to evaluate creditworthiness of issuers, in partnership with Rating Agency of Malaysia (RAM) the methodology and the national credit rating scales were developed. RA RFCA analysts passed training courses at RAM’s head office, Kuala Lumpur.
For assessment of the local companies’ corporate governance RA RFCA uses the purposefully developed methodology and the national scale.
RA RFCA is aimed at provision of high quality rating services meeting international standards for a wide range of companies in Kazakhstan.
